![]() ![]() She again had a new body mold and was now almost as tall as her sister Barbie. This was mostly because of her legs, which were now long and lanky. Most notable of all, however, was Skipper's new face mold. She no longer looked like a child but more like a girl on the brink of becoming a woman, appearing to be 16 years old. In 1994, the first vintage reproduction Skipper was produced specifically for collectors to celebrate the 30th anniversary of Skipper's introduction. Instead of the usual vinyl, the dolls were made of porcelain. She wore a blue reproduction dress from 1965, known then as "Happy Birthday." In 2007, Mattel released their second vintage reproduction Skipper doll, this time sold in a gift set along with a reproduction of a vintage swirl ponytail Barbie doll. In 2009, Skipper made a reappearance as part of a camping line of dolls. She retained the same face mold as the later Skipper dolls, albeit with a side glance. She also sported blonde hair with purple highlights. Therefore I have about 20 heads without bodies, and several bodies without heads (as they either do not fit, or look silly because of complexion).Another notable feature of the doll was her noticeable height decrease, which is more like the Skipper dolls from the late-80's and early-90's. (I am reluctant to take dolls off their bodies, and try to buy extra heads instead. Same problem as the 23, as they are the same besides the calves.Ģ1, boy: what heads fit? Have not tried Ricky and Harry Potter, as they have bodies, and Ricky is too tan. Does not fit the old Skipper heads, that I bought it for, at all.Ģ1: fits a Daisy head. Oldest Skipper heads might fit a bit.Ģ4: "original" fits the red head Babysitter and "white" the Asian.Ģ3: fits a Sakura (Licca friend). Male 27: an Edwardian Ken head, that does not really fit, as I do not want to cut his neck peg thingy offĢ7, regular: old Midge and Barbie heads from the 60s (but their complexions are wrong, only a Barbie ballerina head looks almost right).Ģ5: too white. And I have a Marie (Licca friend) head on the XS body. The other has the right complexion for regular Skipper, but the head looks a bit too large. I have the two lighter clone bodies, size S. I have one M body, that I have a ca 50 year old Barbie head on (it has a large neck hole). I have two L bodies, that I now have a Licca and an Asian babysitter on. What kind of boy heads do you have that fit the S and M boy bodies? I managed to find a Licca head with short hair for my XS boy body. Do the babysitters have smaller heads than the 2010 Skipper? Reply Delete Only thing is that the head looks a bit big. And the best thing about Obitsu 24 (other than better articulation than Pure Neemo), is that it looks fuller than other small Obitsu bodies, like 21, 23, soft 23, and 25.īy the way, I have tried the tan clone body, which is lighter than the one that fits the Skooter head, and the skin tone matches the Skipper dolls from before the babysitters. "White" is good for the Asian, and "Natural" is good for the other. Or you could get an Obitsu body sized 24 cm (slightly smaller than Skipper, but why should her friends be exactly her height?). These bodies have the size that Azone calls "S." Azone has 5 sizes for their bodies, and at least three sizes for what is "under their chins." If you get the Asian or red head babysitter, I would recommend a real Azone body. ![]() But the darkest brown is just brown enough to fit a black haired Skooter head, which I guess is supposed to be tan. I got two bodies with two different shades of brown. I also have a couple of these clone bodies, bought on Aliexpress. However, these bodies must be clones of the Azone Pure Neemo bodies, as those come only in "white" and "natural," (= almost white), and have articulated necks. I really like that they have made a body with the colour of the AA babysitter. ![]()
